I believe that in order to solve the problems of our time, we don't just need better leaders, we need more leaders. We more people willing to step up and lead in the areas that they care the most about. More people who are willing to listen, work with and serve others. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life.

I believe that there are two critical aspects if you want to be a leader. You have to really care about the people that you want to lead and you have to be committed to solving the problems that the people you want to lead are facing. You don't have to have all the answers or solutions, but you do have to be committed to finding the best solutions and becoming a champion of them.

As a leader, you have to realize that the best ideas can come from anywhere. They can come from the newest member of the team or your biggest rival. You have to realize that it's not about where the ideas come from but the value of the ideas.

One of the most important aspects of leadership is that great leaders create more leaders. Great leaders help bring out the best in others so that everyone is contributing at a higher level. Great leaders create a safe space for new leaders and new ideas. In order to come up with the best ideas, you may have to sift through a lot of ideas that aren't fully developed.

Leaders have to be willing to make tough decisions and take ownership of the results. A good leader creates space for new leaders and new ideas to develop and prevents a toxic culture from destroying them.
