'You become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with' - Jim Rohn

One of the most powerful determinants of your results is the people you spend time with. Think about your physical health. If you spend time with people who exercise and eat healthy, you will be more likely to do the same. If you spend time with people who consider channel surfing exercise and eat junk, you are more likely to be unhealthy, struggle with your weight and develop chronic disease.

This affects every aspect of your life. If you want to be a Musician then you need to hang out with musicians. If you want to learn a language, then spend time with native speakers. If you want to be an entrepreneur, then you need to spend time with other entrepreneurs.

The people you spend time with have an incredible impact on the results you get in life. This is why it's so critical to develop or find a mastermind group to join.

Think about the people you know. Are they helping you to improve your life or discouraging you from making meaningful change? It's important to cultivate relationships with people who can help you get better. This is why people go to seminars and join coaching programs. Doing what average people do will give you average results. If you want an extraordinary life, you have to do what the average person is not willing to do.

How to Expand Your Network

Networking is all about connecting with and serving others at a high level

Join a Mastermind Group: There are lots of Mastermind groups out there. You can join groups on Facebook or meetup. You can search for Networking groups in your local area.

Hire a coach: Coaches can help you to level up your game. They can also help connect you with a Mastermind group and may even become part of your network as you grow.

Find a Mentor: Working with a mentor is generally more informal and flexible than hiring a coach. Usually the best mentors are too busy to coach clients formally, but they can offer very valuable insights and guidance. Finding the right mentor can take some work on your part, but if you reach out to people who you admire and want to learn from, you may be able to develop some mentor relationships.

Find an Inspiration partner: Often a close friend can serve as an inspiration partner for you. Find someone you know who would like some help holding themselves accountable. You can set up a weekly call or meetup to review your goals and next steps.

Start a Mastermind Group: You may want to start your own Mastermind group. You may have a few friends or colleagues who have big dreams or you can start an online group. This is a great way to build your network and level up your game.

Nurture friendships with people you admire: It's important to take a critical look at the people you spend the most time with. Look for people in your life that you admire or want to be more like. Make it a point to stay in touch with them and invite them to events. The more you foster those relationships the stronger your network will be.
